Introducing the Niagara Region Transit Plus App
A single, consolidated App called Niagara Region Transit Plus has been launched for specialized and on demand services in Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, Thorold and Welland. Effective Monday, March 3, the old RideCo apps will be decommissioned and the new Niagara Region Transit Plus app will need to be downloaded.
New consolidated transit system in Niagara
On Jan. 1, 2023, Niagara Transit Commission launched a new consolidated transit system in Niagara called Niagara Region Transit. Niagara Region Transit is the result of an effort from Niagara Region and the 12 local municipalities to connect all of Niagara by combining the existing transit systems into one transit operator.
Niagara Region Transit offers fare payments and OnDemand service in the Transit App
Starting Jan. 1, 2023, riders will be able to pay for Niagara Region Transit trips and connect with OnDemand service using the Transit App.
