A single, consolidated App called Niagara Region Transit Plus has been launched for specialized and on demand services in Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, Thorold and Welland. Effective Monday, March 3, the old RideCo apps will be decommissioned and the new Niagara Region Transit Plus app will need to be downloaded.
On Jan. 1, 2023, Niagara Transit Commission launched a new consolidated transit system in Niagara called Niagara Region Transit. Niagara Region Transit is the result of an effort from Niagara Region and the 12 local municipalities to connect all of Niagara by combining the existing transit systems into one transit operator.

History was made on May 26, 2022, with the creation of the Niagara Transit Commission, which will bring the operation of public transit in Niagara into one organization.
