10-ride cards and 31-day passes can be purchased at the Welland Bus Terminal during business hours.

OnDemand transit

OnDemand is available to Welland residents who do not reside in/near current routes. An OnDemand vehicle will pick up riders and connect them to and from the regular Niagara Region Transit system at zone-specific transfer hubs.

Niagara Specialized Transit - WellTrans

WellTrans services residents of Welland who have a disability that prevents them from using conventional transit services.

Eligibility

You must be a physically-disabled resident of Welland whose mobility problems prevent or severely inhibit you from walking 175 metres.

Vehicle operators accept cash only.

WellTrans operates in Welland year-round.

  • Monday to Friday: 6 a.m. - 11 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9:30 a.m. - 6:15 p.m.

Apply

An application form must be filled out with a Health Care Professional answering the medical questions. Applications can be submitted through the following:

Booking a ride

Customers are able to book their rides through the following options:

  • From a computer, please visit the website and register through RideCo.
  • From a smartphone or tablet and download the Transit App Registration is again required if it's the first time using RideCo.

Customers who do not have access to either of the above options, the ability to call and speak with the coordinator to book the ride is still available at 1-833-NRT-LINE (1-833-678-5463), Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Any and all trips can be booked up to two weeks in advance.

Same day cancellations for after hour trips only Monday to Friday after 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday, please call 1-833-NRT-LINE (1-833-678-5463). Please note charges will apply to trips cancelled less than 24 hours and for same day cancellations.
