Warming Centres in Niagara

Transit and Public Facilities

Niagara Transit offers free rides to designated public facilities during official Environment and Climate Change Canada weather advisories, including both cold weather advisories and heat warnings. These facilities provide essential shelter and comfort during extreme weather conditions.

Extreme Cold Alerts

Niagara Transit provides free rides to designated warming centres when Environment Canada issues a cold weather advisory. During these extreme cold events, designated facilities welcome all members of the public during their regular business hours to provide a warm space.
