Route Detours in Thorold Due to Construction

Effective: January 2026 – September 2026

A major construction project on Townline Road in Thorold will affect three Niagara Transit routes. The work zone runs from just west of St. Davids Road east to Ormond Street/Merritt Street.

Buses cannot travel through the construction area due to excavation work.

Route Detours:

Route 311: Buses will turn left on Townline Road East, right on Carleton Street, right on St. Davids Road, and right on Ormond Street.

There is a new temporary stop at St David St E and Ormond St N (kitty-corner to the regular stop).

Routes 320/420: Buses will turn left on Ann Street, right on McMann Street, left on Water Street, and left on St. Davids Road.

Routes 332/432: Buses will turn left on Ann Street, right on McMann Street, left on Water Street, and left on St. Davids Road.
