Niagara Transit Launching Regional Sunday and Holiday Service

Regional Sunday and Holiday Service Starts September 6, 2026

Getting around Niagara seven days a week is about to get easier, with Niagara Transit expanding Sunday and holiday service across the region.

Starting Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026, Sunday and holiday service will be introduced on regional bus routes and Niagara Transit Plus services, giving customers more options to get around their communities and connect to destinations across Niagara.

The expansion fills an important gap in the Niagara Transit network and responds to one of the most common requests heard from customers. Whether it is getting to work, visiting family and friends, or enjoying what Niagara has to offer, customers will have more flexibility to make those trips on Sundays and holidays.

Which Days Are Covered

Service will operate on Sundays and all statutory holidays, except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Sunday and holiday schedules and frequencies may differ from regular weekday and Saturday service, so customers are encouraged to check their route and schedule, and plan ahead before travelling.

Regional Route Schedules

Complete schedules for regional bus routes will be available in September.

Niagara Transit Plus services will operate on Sundays and holidays from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
