MicroTransit Service Adjusts Advance Booking Window to Improve Ride Availability

MicroTransit service has announced a change to its advance booking policy to enhance service efficiency and increase ride availability. Starting August 12, passengers will be able to pre-book rides up to 7 days in advance, replacing the previous 14-day window.

This adjustment aims to better align the booking system with actual rider needs and patterns. By reducing the advance booking window, the service expects to make more rides available to users when they need them most.

The move is expected to reduce the number of advance bookings that go unused or are cancelled at the last minute, freeing up more slots for immediate or short-term needs.

It's important to note that this change will not affect Specialized Services, which will continue to allow bookings up to 14 days in advance. This exception ensures that users with specific needs or regular appointments can maintain their current booking practices.

Passengers are advised to adjust their booking habits accordingly and are encouraged to provide feedback on the new system as it rolls out.
