St. Catharines Road Closure and Transit Detours

The City of St. Catharines has announced a significant road closure on Ontario Street from Linwell Road to Lakeport Road, effective November 6, 2023, until May 5, 2024, to facilitate crucial infrastructure upgrades, including storm sewer installation and road widening.

Bus routes 302 and 402 will detour as follows:

• Outbound: Right on Linwell Rd, Left on Lakeport Rd, Right on Lakeshore Rd.
• Inbound: Left on Lakeport Rd, Right on Linwell Rd, Left on Ontario St.

Affected bus stops (IDs 107-111 outbound and 133-137 inbound) will not be serviced. A temporary stop will be added on Lakeport Rd at Lakehurst Dr starting November 19.

Please plan for additional travel time and anticipate possible delays due to the ongoing construction on Ontario Street. With the closure affecting both outbound and inbound routes, as well as several bus stops, your usual journey might take longer.
